Bryn Genelle Ditmars was born on February 23rd, 1979, in Nelson, B.C., the firstborn son of a carpenter and a midwife. He graduated from high school in Vancouver in 1997, with the Fine Arts award and Honor Roll standing. He then decided to pursue his career as an artist and author of poetry and prose. After nine years away from academia, during which time he wrote and illustrated several books. Now, he is a self-published author, and has recovered from schizophrenia with the help of anti-psychotic medication. He is the father of a seven year old son. And, at 7:00pm on June 21st of this year, he is honored to come read from copies of two of his latest books. One is entitled, "Asananda". And, the other is entitled, "Manifestations". They are both epic poems consisting of several thousand rhyming lines, with esoteric themes and elements of magical fantasy.
